Okay for those like me, who were apparently late in knowing this. General and I is the drama adaptaion of Gu Fang Bu Zi Shang a.k.a A Lonesome Fragrance Waiting to be Appreciated.

This is definitely a great way to greet 2017 for me. To top that they gave Wallace Chung the character of Chu Bei Jie. I cant swipe my grin after knowing this. Seriously.

A drama to look forward indeed.  He is great actor by his own rights so Im already expecting  a swoon worthy, bite my teeth ,  squeal worthy moments here. On the other hand, Bai Pingting is portrayed by Anglebaby which I cannot say much because the only show she was in that I ever watched was in Running man China, so I honestly dont know how she will go with this one. Anyways, she is an actress ,so it wouldn’t actually go that bad right? (Im crossing my fingers here)

Thought I have to say,in the book Bai Ping Ting isn’t actually describe as a beauty that could launch a thousand ship which is to say that she is plain looking and Anglebaby if far from plain looking, aesthetically speaking.

In fact in the last book there was a part where a storyteller describes her as goddess that descended from the skies, the finest color in the world no one can rival with. This was was proven wrong in sense that the woman who heard that story and later met Bai Pingting said that in this country she is already the finest aroma one could ever find.

Ergo

(Bai Pingting might not be the finest color (sexually or physically speaking) but she is the finest aroma. Aroma pertaining to her intellectual  insights.

I already watched the first few episodes and as expected they did tweak a little bit of this and that.  They added a few additional characters  and few plots that werent on the original books. Its not bad enough to make me give up watching. I just hope that this doesn’t destroy the original essence of the book since we all know how some adaptations started with a bam and fell straight to doomsday at the end.

I love gu fang bu zi shang  enough to watch this come hell or high water.
