I’m Back (Now with a Toddler and a Seven-Day Rain Forecast) and Reading about Industrial Cultivation

Hi. Hello. Yes, it’s me. Back from the dead or at least from a blog hiatus long enough for a whole country move, a toddler to grow sentient, and for me to forget what the sun looks like.

It’s been years since I last posted anything here. Coming back feels both nostalgic and slightly chaotic, like finding your old Tumblr and realizing you were once emotionally dependent on gifs.

To ease back in, I’m posting this ->  Industrial Cultivation . I had clearly been spiraling over capitalism, which checks out. These days, I’m spiraling over laundry, preschool snacks, and the 87 different types of rain that fall here weekly.

The Industrial Age… of My Household

Industrial cultivation? Still relevant. Only now it’s less about productivity and more about how everything in my life feels… industrialized.

My 4-year-old? Fully operating like a start-up CEO with no regard for business hours. He wakes up at 6 a.m. issuing demands and performance evaluations. Mostly about snacks.

Laundry? Feels like a full-blown logistics department. There’s intake, processing, drying, folding, negotiations, and occasional breakdowns. (Me. I am the breakdown.)

Even bedtime feels like a shift change at a factory. Lights dim, chaos rises, negotiations begin. There’s always one item missing , usually a sock or a dinosaur figurine that holds emotional weight.

Thoughts on Industrial Things That Shouldn’t Be Industrial

This got me thinking. Everything is a little too industrial these days.

  • Coffee machines are now baristas with control panels. I just want hot bean juice, not to navigate an aircraft cockpit.
  • Toothbrushes vibrate at 4,000 RPM like they’re power tools. I just want to brush my teeth, not sand down a doorframe.
  • Emails now sound like mission briefings. “Circling back to touch base on the actionables before EOD.” Bro. I’m just trying to live.

Anyway, Hello Again

All this to say: I’m blogging again. I’ve got stories, lists, and probably unfinished thoughts on books I meant to post about in 2019.

No big comeback announcement. Just me, some long-overdue blog drafts, and the occasional existential crisis brought to you by the Irish weather.

It’s good to be back. ☔👶📚

Now back on tract.

Industrial Cultivation

Author: Lin Zhiluo (林知落)

Due to a small accident, the young streamer, Zhu Changyang, traveled to the world of cultivation.

Bad news: He had no money, no sect, no cultivation, and was very poor.

Good news: The streaming platform was still there.

He needed to eat, so he had to go back to his old job and livestream the customs of the world of cultivation.

Bad news: The local area is rich in popular Pujiang* professions such as: Sadomasochistic Demon Lord, Pure Immortal Master, Amorous Hehuan Sect… There were big bosses everywhere, and they were all very cruel.

Good news: The netizens loved watching it.

At first, netizens scorned his journey to the world of cultivation. This was a place where strength speaks for itself. With Zhu Changyang’s qualifications, who could he surpass? It would be difficult for him to go far.

Netizens: What’s the point of watching this?

Then, Zhu Changyang took out a bicycle.

Netizens: ???

Then, Zhu Changyang took out a rice cooker.

Cultivation world: ???????

After a while, a netizen said: Bro, I’m convinced! Please start streaming soon! I want to see what else you can create!

Others would cultivate from Foundation Building to Ascension.

Zhu Changyand cultivates from small household appliances to heavy industry.

Zhu Changyang: Our goal is to enable ordinary people in the world of cultivation to live a convenient and fast life.
